Former President & eminent scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam passed away in Shillong on Monday. Kalam collapsed during a speech at IIM Shillong and was immediately rushed to the nearby Bethany Hospital.
Here are some of Kalam’s inspirational sayings through which he will be remembered forever…
“You have to dream before your dreams can come true.”
“If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.”
“My message, especially to young people is to have courage to think differently, courage to invent, to travel the unexplored path, courage to discover the impossible and to conquer the problems and succeed. These are great qualities that they must work towards. This is my message to the young people.”
“To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goal.”
“Let me define a leader. He must have vision and passion and not be afraid of any problem. Instead, he should know how to defeat it. Most importantly, he must work with integrity.”
“Great dreams of great dreamers are always transcended.”
“Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow.”
“Man needs his difficulties because they are necessary to enjoy success.”
“Look at the sky. We are not alone. The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work.”
“You see, God helps only people who work hard. That principle is very clear.”

What happens when people change their countries!

Its seemed very easy to think about changing any country and country’s people, hoping for its brighter future. But as time passes by, one realizes that the differences between two cultures, people attitudes, civility, traffic rules, language, politics, way of expression etc. is quite diverge. One tries little harder at first to be positive and looks forward to adjust with his/her environment but his/her adjustment power goes weaker day by day, until one has no other option then staying stronger is the only option one has.

The new comer tries to chance the environment around for the betterment.He/she tries its best to infuse good things for people to learn, get those changes which is lacking in the attitudes of the people, in other words, would call it civility, learning to feel for each other, respecting each others rights and valuing each other, would love to see people not manipulating and live simple life, honoring each other, live and let live attitude, acceptance and adopting diversity. But all this try, seemed to feel in vain. One could feel the rigidity and non acceptance of new comer and new learning.

There would be lots of people, who would not mind giving sarcastic comments for bringing those changes, and there would be other people too, who would love to hear you and accept you but would not try helping you in bringing those changes, and there would be those people too who would love to hear and change too.But maximum would be with that non learning attitude. They would just love the way things are and would have a great cynical attitude for you.It seems you are one new target for them to prey on.That would satisfy their ego and they even may feel relieved in doing so.

But this whole thing just gave one good lesson to learn. That is just be who you are, do what you want to do,try your best not to change your authentic you,be non judgmental(the biggest mantra)which would help you in living your best life you desired and to stay blissful.Hopefully seeing you happy and consistent, people might try changing themselves and change their behaviour by uplifting others, by helping people around them,by respecting each others values and accept their diversity.
